OSS Academy - for Boys & Girls Born 2010 & 2011 - U7 & U8
Ocean State’s Academy is an age-specific program for competitive players born: in 2010 – 2011 (U7 and U8), tailored to bridge our recreational and competitive programs. The Academy focuses on key soccer skills, including ball-control as well as overall player development.
Training starts in November with 20 weekly sessions at Wide World of Indoor Sport in Quonset, followed by spring training and team practices at our fields on Stony Lane in North Kingstown.
Players have the option of participating in our recreational league in the spring or alternatively, in Rhode Island’s competitive league (Superliga) and in an end of season tournament.
THE ACADEMY'S OPEN-HOUSE WILL BE TUESDAY, 13th JUNE - FRONT FIELDS OF OCEAN STATE SOCCER (650 STONY LANE)
Our summer camp will be Monday July 10th - Friday 14th July at the OSS Fields at 650 Stony Lane in North Kingstown.
We welcome boys and girls ages 4 to 15 of all soccer abilities. Three camp options are offered :
Full Day Camp : for recreational soccer players, ages 4 to 15 ($180) Half Day Camp (9am - Noon) : for recreational soccer players, ages 4 to 15 ($120) Competitive Camp : for middle school and junior varsity high school players, ages 6th grade and higher ($225)

Camp Director :
Kyle is the former Boys' Varsity Soccer Coach at North Kingstown High School and current URI Men's Assistant Coach. He was formerly a Goalkeeping
Coach at the University of Rhode Island and an Olympic Development Coach for 9 years. He is a graduate
of NKHS, earning All-State Honors and 3 State Championships in his high school career. Kyle also played
for the URI Men's Soccer team and was named Freshmen Athlete of the Year. The URI team made two
NCAA tournament appearances while Kyle was on the team.
Coaching Staff will also include coaches from NKHS' soccer program as well as other select, professionally licensed coaches.
Additional Information :
We are also featuring Competitive Training at this year's Camp, designed to get the player ready for Middle or High School tryouts. Must be entering 6th Grade or higher to be eligible. The Competitive Training involves intensive training and conditioning. Limited enrollment.
In the event of illness or injury, the family insurance must be used. The Ocean State Soccer Camp
does not provide accident or health insurance for campers. All campers must provide proof of
health insurance when completing application form.
